I'm Mark Key and I've imported the Lada Niva on an individual basis for clients since 2010.
It genuinely is very last opportunity to acquire this uniquely quirky and supremely capable piece of motoring history!
Colour, short wheelbase, long wheelbase, AC, no AC, there are a lot of things on the option list so if you're interested in a Niva it's best to discuss your needs on a one-to-one basis. Each car has a two year mechanical warranty.
A demonstrator is available and can be driven at our London address.
Getting these little beasts out of Russia and eventually licensed in the UK is pretty challenging - and I feel do it all for a fair price.
Firstly, you must be prepared to chat with people at every other petrol station fill up. Fond comments and a good dose of desire wherever they go!
Driving: On the rough stuff: Utterly amazing. On road: OK but more Defender than Qashqai. Civilised enough about town, you notice engine and transfer case at speed (soundproofing kits are available if required) and the long gearstick can take a bit of getting used to... but come the apocalypse, it's the vehicle you'll want to own!
It seems a long, long time ago, but in 2012 James May met me on a wintery day to check out the Niva. This car was still pre the 2015 suspension and NVH upgrades but you can see from clicking on the link that he found the little beast endearing, if basic. James do you still want to order one? I think he wanted to specify green wheels.
